A worker died on the spot and another sustained injuries in an accident at a stone quarry at Venkipalem under Anakapalle rural police station limits on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as A. Bheema (32) of Koraput in Odisha while the injured was identified as Nakul. They were working at the quarry while stones fell on them. Anakapalle police led by SI A. Koteswara Rao registered a case against the owner of the quarry and the contractor under Section 304 (A) of IPC. The body was sent for post-mortem.
