Oakridge to hold model UN session

Oakridge International School will be conducting a model United Nations session, ‘Indian International MUN -2015’, at its Tagarapuvalasa campus from April 24 to 26. IIMUN Visakhapatnam chapter will bring in school and college level debaters and diplomats from all over the country and promises to serve as an enriching learning experience, said principal, Oakridge International School Manija Subramaniam. The conference is open to both school and college students and will also feature the hot topic of ‘New Capital for Andhra Pradesh’. The session will feature seven councils.

Manija added that Oakridge student and teacher committee have put their best endeavours to support IIMUN and make it a great learning session. The ultimate objective was to make the students aware about global issues and mould them to understand the grassroot problems to be able to raise their voice on any platform. Registrations for IIMUN are open and students of classes 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and graduates are eligible for the session. A registration fee of Rs. 1,500 will be charged per student and Rs. 1,000 for faculty advisor. Interested students can contact Pranav Jain at 9819053855 or pranav.iimun@gmail.com for more details.
