NPR database to be upgraded from Oct. 23

Upgrading the database of citizens and seeding of Aadhaar for National Population Register will be carried out in all the 72 zones of the city and Anakapalle and Bhimili from October 23.

The 72 wards will comprise 3,000 enumeration blocks. Each block comprises 150 to 200 houses and 600 to 800 people.

Enumeration for Anakapalle and Bhimili will be taken up separately, according to Municipal Commissioner Pravin Kumar. In all, 3,000 teachers and officials have been identified to take up the work. The exercise has to be completed by November 23.
