Need to reduce production loss

Former CMD of RINL Y. Sivasagar Rao on Tuesday underlined the need for innovative thinking and execution on the part of operations group, technology suppliers, consultants, and project team.

In his keynote address during the valedictory of the two-day workshop, ConSitech (convertor and sinter technology), organised at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, he advised all the technocrats to minimise planning and execution time keeping the objective of reducing production loss during the modernisation period.

RINL Director (Operations) D.N. Rao, who inaugurated the session on modernisation of convertors, said those who were directly involved with convertor operations should make efforts for better planning and execution of technology upgradation.

The workshop was organised by Corporate Strategic Management Department of RINL in association with Indian Institute of Metals under ‘Gnana’ initiative of RINL-VSP.
