MP to take up VSP job notification issue

May 11, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:00 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

MP K. Haribabu on Sunday said he would take up with the management of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant the demand of the displaced persons to provide jobs to them. He gave the assurance when displaced persons and trade union activists led by MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao met him to bring to his notice the notification issued by the VSP management for recruitment of 350 operator-cum-technicians. The fixing of diploma in engineering as minimum qualification to apply for the posts angered the displaced persons and trade unions.

They told the MP that several ITI-certificate holders from their families would not get a chance to get a job in VSP if the qualification was not relaxed.
