Elected representatives turned motivational speakers at the State’s first bootcamp held at Sunrise Start-up Village at Rushikonda on Thursday.
IT Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy described how in faction-ridden Rayalaseema he was successful in beginning his career as a teacher and later starting 52 educational institutions providing jobs to 3,000. “I have come the hard way. There is no short-cut to success. Today, 30,000 students are passing out every year from the institutions started by me,” he stated.
He also narrated how due to hard work, he could become an MLA thrice and an MLC once and thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for making him a Minister with five portfolios.
In the same breath, Vizag MP K. Haribabu said entrepreneurs would not crave for jobs. Instead, they create jobs for others. They work hard to achieve their dreams, he said and expressed his satisfaction over launch of start-up village at Rushikonda to groom young entrepreneurs to own successful ventures.
Stating that time management was very important, he said, in a lighter vein, “I am an engineer by education, a teacher by profession and a politician by accident.”
Anakapalle MP M. Srinivasa Rao said he became a successful entrepreneur by starting a computer institute in Hyderabad in 1987 with some amount he could mobilise by mortgaging gold jewellery.
He said if someone was enterprising and had the passion and energy, they could be successful. “No Godfather is required to be a successful entrepreneur,” he said.
