424 Armed Reserve Head Constables and police constables attend the camp

A parade was presented by police personnel, who underwent refresher training on the conclusion of a mobilisation camp at the Police Parade Ground here on Wednesday.

A total of 424 Armed Reserve Head Constables and police constables attended the camp conducted in two phases from January 23.

The training included physical training, unarmed combat, yoga, handling of all weapons and riot control equipment, arms drill, mob operation, VIP security duties, anti-sabotage checks, explosives, prisoner escort duties, guard duties, stress management, anger management and balanced diet.

Police Commissioner J. Purnachandra Rao, who received the guard of honour, called upon the men to work with dedication in the discharge of their duties.

He appreciated the parade of his men allocated the participants to various zones. He briefed about the welfare activities taken up for the police personnel. A modern gym was constructed at a cost of Rs.10 lakhs and a water purification plant was being set up to provide safe drinking water for the policemen and their families.

Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police Md. Khan and Atchuta Rao and Assistant Commissioner of Police (City Armed Reserve) B. Narayana Rao were among those who were present.
