Cell Point on Sunday opened ‘biggest mobile showroom' in the State at Dabagardens here.

Former MLA P.V.G. R. Naidu opened the showroom and performed the traditional pooja on Sunday evening along with Cell Point proprietor P. Mohan Prasad.

It is the 15th showroom of the company in the State and the ninth in the city, according to Mr. Prasad. Measuring 2,200 sft, it's the biggest exclusive mobile phones showroom in the State, he said. Cell Point has four shops in Vijayawada and two in Vizianagaram.

All top brands have two counters each in the spacious showroom. There is an exclusive counter for i-Phone, Blackberry and HTC. Another counter is earmarked for accessories. “If a phone is released in the market and customers are looking for it, particularly a high value one, we will have it,” he said. It has the widest range with each model coming in three, four colours.

The phones are purchased directly from regional distributors in a big number. “Also if a high value phone has not received service within the time limit set, we will get a replacement,” Mr Prasad said.

Customer service

Besides, the showroom has an exclusive priority customer service in a special tie-up.

He stated the customer loyalty was quite good. Beginning with one showroom each at Dabagardens and Diamond Park, the showroom has grown because of the loyalty of customers.

Cell Point contributes through its outlets in the city between 20 and 25 per cent to Nokia sales, says Area Sales Manager N. Sridhar Reddy. He hoped with the showroom it would help improve market share, particularly in the value segment. This was all the more important in view of the Nokia Windows phone due in a week, he added.
