Villagers must bring pressure on elected representatives to ensure all round development of their village, Minister of State for Science, Technology and Earth Sciences Y. Satyanarayana Chowdary said speaking after launching development programmes at Duddupalem in Chodavaram mandal in the district on Saturday. The village was adopted by Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The Union Minister of State launched the development works being taken up on Komaticheruvu in the village. The works are being taken up at a cost of Rs .75 lakh from NTPC Simhadri under its CSR activities. Community hall in the village is being taken up at a cost of Rs 15 lakh from MPLADS funds.
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao, Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivas, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Lalam Bhavani, District Collector N Yuvaraj, and MLAs were present.
