Man murdered

The semi-burnt body of a man aged around 25 years was found near Gandigundam village under Anandapuram police station limits, here on Tuesday.

According to the police the incident could have taken place about two days ago. The man’s face and other parts of the body were burnt, probably in a bid to hide the identity, said Inspector of Police A. Parthasaradhi.

The identity of the deceased was yet to be known and the police found some empty plastic bottles at the crime scene.

The police suspect that the man was strangled to death and later the body set afire.

The body was shifted to King George Hospital for post mortem and the cops registered a case under section 174 Cr. Pc.
