Endowments staff seek withdrawal of GO 337

October 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:57 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Officers and employees of Endowments Department, and priests, Executive Officers, and employees of temples wanted the Government to withdraw GO No. 337 and other GOs and amendments made to them.

At a meeting here on Friday, representatives of these sections said the GOs would cause many problems and formation of Dharmika Parishad would weaken the Hindu temples and their assets would fall in wrong hands.

They opposed Dharmika Parishad taking up appointments and deciding on promotions.

State-level meet

It was decided to attend the State-level meet to be held in Rajahmundry in large numbers to decide on the future course of agitation.

The Uttarandhdra Archaka Samakhya extended its support to the struggle.

Deputy Commissioner N.V.S.S. Murthy, Srinivasa Deekshitulu and Muralkrishna of Archaka Sangham and others explained the problems with the GOs.
