Making a strong pitch for good cinema, film producer and director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao said that there were no dearth of talented filmmakers who could deliver to the taste of the audience.
Speaking at length on Indian Cinema during his talk ‘manasulo mata’ organised by Visakha Rasajna Vedika, at the Visakha Public Library here, Mr. Srinivasa Rao emphasised on the importance of youth in the future of cinema.
“There are many talented directors and writers who can deliver good themes and make movies. Despite being 88 years, I am still optimistic about the future of cinema,” he said.
He appealed to the youth to involve themselves in literary meetings and participate in film festivals to widen their vision. “Unlike in India, in world cinema, screenplay writer, dialogue writer and script writer are one and the same,” he pointed out.
