Close call for Konathala, MLA

YSR Congress party's district convenor and member of the party's central governing council Konathala Ramakrishna and Payakaraopeta MLA G. Babu Rao along with about 20 party leaders and fishermen community leaders were stranded on a motor boat in the Sarada river, giving some anxious moments.

Mr. Ramakrishna and Mr. Babu Rao along with, Anakapalle RECS Chairman B. Prasad, party convenor for Elamanchili Assembly segment Pragada Nageswara Rao and others boarded the boat at Bangarampalem in S. Rayavaram mandal on their way to meet the families of fishermen displaced due to the Naval Alternate Operational Base . When the boat's motor stopped after its fuel exhausted, those on the boat contacted their party men on the shore. About 45 minutes later another boat reached the stranded boat and picked up those on board.
