City resident gets Best RWA Manager Award

In recognition to the initiatives to ensure better upkeep of a colony by involving residents, K.S.R. Murthy, president of J.R. Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association (JRNRWA), Old Venkojipalem, has been honoured with the ‘Best RWA Manager Award’ for 2015 by the United Federation of Residents’ Welfare Association (UFERWAS).

The award was given to Dr. Murthy, a retired scientist of National Institute of Oceanography, at the two-day third national conference of residents’ welfare associations (NCRWA) which began in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Dr. Murthy was selected for the award for his contribution to the development of J.R. Nagar Colony, particularly in carrying out post- Hudhud relief operations, and for leading several awareness and welfare activities in the colony. He was also responsible for design of the association’s website and newsletter.
