City girl wins bronze

City player V. Thosali won bronze medal by taking third place in the BEL Officers Club 26th National under-17 girls chess championship held at Bengaluru from October 3 to 11.

She secured eight points out of the possible 11 and secured qualification for the World youth and cadets championship 2016 and Asian Youth championship in the under-18 category.

Congratulated

VDCA president Anand Kumar, secretary Cheela Ramesh, B. Ramana Babu, Gopala Krishan Rao and other senior chess players of Visakhapatnam congratulated Thosali.

They all wished the player of the city a success in the international meets.
