Senior YSR Congress leader Botcha Satyanarayana gave a call on Monday to make the Tuesday’s bandh call given by the party in protest against the SCS not being granted to the State, a success.

He was speaking at a media conference along with YSR Congress City President Malla Vijaya Prasad and other senior leaders, here on Monday.

He appealed to all political parties, NGOs, trade unions, student unions, shops and establishments and all sections of the society to participate in the bandh to exert pressure on the centre.

He said the TDP government had colluded with the BJP for four long years and now the TDP and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu are making attempt to deceive the people.

The Chief Minister himself had stated that the SCS was not the panacea to the problems of the State and he himself diluted the demand for SCS by accepting the Special Assistance Package, offered by the Centre.

Similarly, on the issue of Railway Zone, special assistance package for backward districts and Dugarajapatnam port, the State Government did not show any sincerity, he alleged.

Rally

Mr. Satyanarayana also said a rally will be taken out on Tuesday from Jagadamba Centre to Ambedkar Statue via RTC Complex.
