In today’s highly competitive world, what is required to stand apart is design thinking and developing business strategies to suit the current needs of the industry.

Elaborating how artificial intelligence, gig economy, business agility and geopolitics are linked to design thinking, HR professional and consulting partner of Switzerland-based consultancy firm The Preparation Company Hari Abburi said educational structure should help a person move ahead with changing times.

In an interaction with The Hindu , Mr. Hari says, “We must ponder over whether we are teaching the right skills to the students and help them to be future-ready or not.” During his month-long stay in the port city, the HR professional interacted with various management students and highlightedHR functions.

When nearly 60 % of the global workforce is likely to be displaced in future due to automation and artificial intelligence, Mr. Hari said generating workable ideas, and improving delivery mechanism would aid in reshaping organisational culture.“Good leadership is need of the hour,” he said.
