Arrest of Baba Ramdev condemned

Bharat Swabhiman Trust members, who were on a fast in solidarity with Baba Ramdev's fast at New Delhi ended it on Sunday evening. A homam was also held at the fast camp organised by the trust and Patanjalai Yoga Samiti.

As many as 18 members of the trust here sat on fast for the past two days and concluded it on Sunday evening. A rally will be held from Park Hotel to Kali Temple on Wednesday evening in support of Ramdev and condemning the arrest.

Trust mandal prabhari for North Coastal districts M.N. Tripathi described the arrest not as an attack on a person but on the entire country and compared it to Jaliangwalabagh incident in pre-Independent India. The trust would fight till the complete eradication of corruption. Trust special member Sudha Prabhu said Ramdev was fighting for people by taking up the issue of corruption. She condemned the attack on the camp at New Delhi in the small hours where women and children who could not protect themselves were present.
