Applications invited for Padma awards

Applications are invited from the persons who have achieved eminence in their chosen fields for the selection by Andhra Pradesh government to be nominated for Padma awards conferred by the Central government on Republic Day, 2016.

Padma awards are given to the persons who have achieved eminence in arts, social service, public service, science and engineering, trade and commerce, medicine, literature and education, civil service, protection of human rights, propagation of Indian culture and sports and protection of wildlife.

To nominate the persons who have done exemplary service in these areas, the government invites nominations from individuals. The applications must be accompanied by a note on the accomplishments and achievements, not exceeding 800 words. Applications in four sets of hard copies as well as soft copy must be sent before July 25 to District Youth Welfare Officer and CEO SETVIS, Maharanipeta, opposite Zilla Parishad.
