APEPDCL achieves lowest ATC loss in country

Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) has achieved the lowest aggregate technical commercial (ATC) loss in the country for the second consecutive year. ATC loss is a combination of transmission and distribution loss and billing efficiency.

The loss for 2014-15 is said to be 6.87 per cent when compared to the 7.09 per cent in 2013-14. The Discom has achieved the lowest transmission and distribution (T&D) loss, when compared to other Discoms in the country. The loss for 2014-15 fiscal year was 6.32 per cent when compared to the 6.33 per cent of the previous year. APEPDCL CMD said that low performing sectors were given a top priority. “We have divided the operation of the Discom into 20 divisions which is headed by a Chief General Manager. The work of the team is to identify the loopholes and suggest solutions,” he said.
