January 25, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is adopting Araku not for developing the tourist place but to loot the bauxite reserves in the Visakha Agency, president of the district and city YSR Congress party unit Gudivada Amarnath alleged here on Saturday.

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao was adopting Lambasingi which became a tourist attraction due to the zero degree temperature being recorded there, to further his business interests, Mr. Amarnath charged at a press conference.

Mr. Naidu and Mr. Srinivasa Rao did not bother about development of their own villages and constituencies, he said and claimed that it was Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy who had developed Kuppam constituency (of Mr. Naidu).

He alleged that YSRC leaders, like a Sarpanch in Atchyutapuram mandal against whom a SC, ST atrocities case was filed, were being harassed and facing false cases for bringing to light irregularities and corruption in the implementation of Government schemes.

The YSRC leader said party leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy would visit Visakhapatnam on January 27.

From the airport he would go to the Simhachalam temple and participate in the anniversary celebrations of Sarada Peetham at China Mushidiwada.
