Akhil Bharatiya Agarwal Sammelan AP Chapter president Chandmal Agarwal and his team were installed by ABAS national president Gopal Saran Garg at a function here on Sunday.

Visakhapatnam MP Kambhampati Haribabu, who participated as chief guest at the function, commended the Agarwal Samaj for taking the lead in organising service activities all over the country. He said that post-bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh was progressing on all fronts and there were ‘no power cuts in AP’. The State was ranked No.1 in ‘Ease of Doing Business’. Mr. Haribabu appealed to the members of the Agrawal community, who rank among the top industrialists in the country, to consider setting up their industries or branches in AP and Visakhapatnam.

ABAS national president Gopal Saran Garg sought establishment of a university in Andhra Pradesh in the name of Bhagwan Agrasen Maharaj. He said that in Haryana, a Traders Welfare Board was set up by the State Government, and 2% of the Sales Tax proceeds, was being given to the board. The traders were being given pensions post retirement from this fund.

Services in all districts

Earlier, addressing a media conference, Mr. Gopal Saran Garg said that the AP Chapter was formed to extend the services of ABAS to all the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
