Two workers of SVR Drugs Private Limited in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City, Parawada in Visakhapatnam dist., fell sick when they inhaled liquid chloroform on Sunday. According to Parawada Police Station Inspector B.S. Naidu, the workers inhaled the liquid chloroform when the chemical compound spilled out from a leaking valve. The incident occurred at around 7.30 a.m. when the workers were on routine inspection of the tanks and valves. Both were shifted to a hospital when they felt drowsy after inhaling the compound. “The leakage was plugged immediately and we are investigating the case,” said the inspector.
