PMOC meet held

A tri-service Principal Maintenance Officers Committee (PMOC) conference was held on Thursday at the Swarna Jyoti Conference Hall at the Eastern Naval Command headquarters. Master General of Ordnance, Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army) and Chairman of PMOC Vinay Sharma presided.

Chief of Material (Navy) Ganesh Mahadevan, Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (ACIDS) S.P. Rajguru, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Maintenance Planning) R.Chopra, Additional Director General A.V. Subramanian and other delegates from the three services participated.

The PMOC is a sub-committee of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. It is a tri-service body whose main charter is to address the issues related to common areas of maintenance and evolve a policy with regard to common equipment/systems in three services.

The forum facilitates exchange of information between the services in respect of indigenisation, midlife upgradation, import substitution, repair overhaul, product improvement and support.
