Naval personnel donate blood

Visakhapatnam: A blood donation camp was organised by INS Virbahu, the submarines base depot at Visakhapatnam, on Monday in collaboration with A.S. Raja Voluntary Blood Bank. Chief of Staff of ENC Vice Admiral A.K. Jain inaugurated the camp in which 152 personnel including women donated blood.

All the donors were thoroughly screened and the blood collection was carried out under aseptic conditions by qualified personnel under the supervision of naval doctors. Post blood donation, all the donors were awarded a ‘Blood Donation Certificate’ by Commodore Commanding Submarines (East) and Commanding Officer of INS Virbahu Commodore VR Peshwae.
