JICA team visits NTPC

A team deputed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) visited NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station at Parawada on Monday. JICA had funded Stage-I of Simhadri (2 x500 MW). The team came for a periodical review of the project.

The team consisting of Takako Hirose, professor, Senshu University, Takahiro Sato, professor, Kobe University, Masayuki Kitagawa, associate professor, Kobe University, Kazitoshi Tamari, post doctoral fellow, JSPS, Atsushi Fukumi, associate professor, University of Hyogo and Manabu Furita, research student, Kyoto University were part of the team. 

They visited plant, seawater pump house and planted saplings in the township at Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Park. The team also interacted with the stakeholders of neighbouring villages to find out activities taken up by NTPC Simhadri under corporate social responsibility programme.
