February 10, 2017 01:11 am | Updated 01:11 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Besides disposing claims and objections to the electoral list and appointing officials at various levels for the smooth conduct of election to the graduates' constituency of the Legislative Council, training should be given to the polling staff and ensure availability of sufficient ballot boxes, District Collector Pravin Kumar has said.

At a meeting with assistant returning officers of the three districts here on Thursday, he said flags, posters and hoardings of all political parties must be removed since the model code came into force.

Details of canvassing through social media and SMSes must be obtained from contestants.

He told the AROs that all polling stations should be inspected according to the checklist.

Arrangements

All arrangements must be made for web-casting from each polling station.

Uninterrupted power supply should be ensured and the necessary electrical equipment kept ready.

DROs Chandrasekhar Reddy (Visakhapatnam) and M. Jitendra (Vizianagaram) and Rajanikanta Rao (in-charge DRO Srikakulam) participated.
