38 {+t} {+h} Indian Social Science Congress from today

Over 300 research papers to be presented during the five-day event

The 38{+t}{+h}Indian Social Science Congress will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu at Andhra University on Sunday. Over 350 research papers, covering all branches of science and technology, will be presented and deliberated upon during the five-day congress.

Announcing this at a media conference here, Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju, Member Secretary of Indian Academy of Social Science N.P. Chaubey and Local Organising Secretary of the Congress N. Sambasiva Rao said that there would be 19 Research Committees and 21 Inter-disciplinary Thematic Panels in the Congress. Unlike the Indian Science Congress, the IISC would cover a wide range of subjects like law, pharmacy, arts, humanities, journalism, earth sciences and all branches of engineering.

A large number of senior scientists, thinkers, philosophers would participate.
