1959 Batch AMC students meet on Jan. 24, 25

Medical graduates of the 1959 entry batch, who studied at Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, from across the country and abroad will converge in the city to celebrate their Diamond Jubilee year, at Green Park hotel on January 24 and 25.

All of them are in their late 70 s or early 80 s. Only 78 of the 125 original classmates are alive now. Of them, a record 55 of them along with their spouses have confirmed their participation in the event, according to Dr. Vyakaranam Atchuta Raoa Rao, consultant psychiatrist and retired Medical Director.

Dr. Rama Rao, who had settled in United Kingdom 45 years ago, is conducting the event with the cooperation of Dr. K. Akkala Naidu, Dr. D. Adams and Dr. PMM Krishna from Visakhapatnam.

Prof. S. Sreenivasulu Reddy (91), a distinguished Professor of Surgery, who taught the Batch of 1959, would participate as chief guest.
