Short films are the latest craze among the young students, and Nemani Anil Kavailya is one such student who has been putting this interest to good use by making movies on current social issues. Second place winner at the TECHNOVATE 2K12 fest organised at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology in Vijayawada, Anil had always showed a keen interest in watching movies with creative content, said his uncle Dwaram Swamy.
He wanted to make short films when he was studying Intermediate. With a basic digicam, he produced his first short film titled “Trust” in his B.Tech. first year, Mr. Swamy said.
Anil has many titles to his credit such as ‘Ishtam’, ‘Hunger’, ‘1 Day 1 Hour 10 Minutes’, and the forthcoming ‘Mana Desam’. He also won many awards at Laghuchitram Fest of Chadalawada Engineering College and DIGIT 2K12 Fest at Vidyanikethan Engineering College. “ Anil is also a huge fan of Rajnikanth and a good artist too. His most prized possession is one of his paintings of Rajnikanth signed by the superstar himself,” said Mr. Swamy.
