Workshop for journalists

New Delhi-based Centre for Science and Environment is organising a two-day workshop for journalists on ‘Understanding Environmental Issues for Better Reportage: A Media Workshop’, at Hotel Continental Park, here on June 17 and 18.

Media persons would be briefed on the status on thermal power plants in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka States.

Issues related to ‘Environmental pollution and control status in Andhra Pradesh’, ‘Coal based thermal power stations: Environmental impace in A.P.’, ‘Discussion on heat on power’, ‘Fly ash utilisation in brick industry – Opportunities and Challenges’, ‘Reporting on Environment’ and other topics would be discussed.

A field trip would be arranged for the participants to Dr. Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station (NTTPS) on the second day, according to a press release.
