Autec is a block-chain based degree (certificate) verification platform with which the authenticity of a client can be verified in 15 minutes.
Founder of the startup Kunal Matwani explained to the jury members and other delegates how with the help of his startup the time to verify certificate could be reduced to 15 minutes instead of the four days. Starting with students, Human Resources (HR) units, colleges, universities, embassies and other agencies that need to verify degree and other educational certificates could make use of the platform across time zones, he explained.
Around a dozen teams pitched to jury members why someone should make investment in their startups at the StartAP summit in Bhavani Island here on Friday.
The star of the show was Frederick Devaramapati, co-founder of stuMagz, who has been listed in the Forbes 30 under 30 for his startup which has provided digital campus ecosystems for over 400 colleges. Mr. Frederick has emerged as some sort of poster boy for startups in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He said that his startup digitised all the operations in a college, including payments, students profiles, etc.
Sri Ram of yet another startup — Isthriwala — explained about providing laundry services. Representatives of startups — Mentor Mind, Fopple Drones, H-Bots, Napanta, Getmytailor, Returntrucks, Qtipi, Healthol, Foundtane Club, Co Cubes, Storage Buddy and Healthin Technologies made their pitch to jury members Co founder of CrossBorders Bhaskar, MakemyClinic founder Srini Uppuluri and founder of Yes!polo Raghu Kuchibhatla.
StartAP founder and CEO Siddharth Marupaddi said that out of the dozen startups that participated top five would go to the next round to be held in Tummalapalli Kalakshetram on Saturday. The best startup would get a cash prize of ₹2 lakh, he said.
On the second day, the startup summit will have several experts giving talks. The star of the meeting will be Baahubali producer Shobhu Yarlagadda. He will deliver a talk on “Building stories which pull people into theatre globally”. Varun group of company founder Pradhu Kishore Valluripalli will speak on “Understanding the power of the people”. IPS officer Bala Subramanyam is slotted to speak on Happiness and Transparency through digital Citizen Centric Government”.
