‘TD has highest regard for media’

June 21, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The TDP had the highest regard for media and press freedom. Only a request was made to a television channel in Telangana to give information about the tapes it made public and there were no attempts to intimidate the channel, Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao said on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference after releasing the State Agricultural Plan here, the Minister said all that the TDP was asking was that the common Governor for both States act according to the powers given to him under the provisions of Section 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act, 2013.

He said a detailed report would be prepared on the steps taken by the Telangana government to harm the interests of A.P. and the people.

Minister for Major Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said the TRS had colluded with YSR Congress. As the primary Opposition party it should also speak out on the onslaught of TRS on the people and Government of A.P.
