Md. Ghouse (35), an accused in the rape and murder of a 41-year-old housewife at Patamata, was admitted to the Government General Hospital (GGH) here on Wednesday night following deterioration of his health. He is suffering from anaemia and partial impairment of a kidney, for which he was put on dialysis. He was given two bottles of blood and more blood was needed for transfusion in view of his frail condition, said GGH Superintendent U. Surya Kumari.
She said Ghouse was still under observation nothing could be said about his condition. There was some difficulty in procuring blood (O negative).
Undertrial prisoner diesCh. Rajesh, an undertrial prisoner, died at the Government General Hospital (GGH) here on Thursday while undergoing treatment. He was a habitual offender involved in petty cases, particularly pick-pocketing. He was serving prison sentence in a case pending with the Krishnalanka police. Rajesh was shifted to the GGH from the sub-jail on Wednesday after he fell ill and died almost 24 hours later.
