The employees of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme staged a silent protest in front of district Collectorate here on Thursday.

The employees, under the aegis of Joint Action Committee Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme- Krishna district, protested against the remarks of the State Government that they were against the social audit.

Joint Action Committee convener V. Venkateswara Rao and co-convener P. Ram Mohan Rao said that the Government was issuing baseless statements to hoodwink people.
