Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president N. Raghuveera Reddy exhorted the people and the elected representatives of all political parties from the village level to participate in the ‘Matti Satyagraham’ taken up by the Congress on a large scale.

People of A.P should gather soil from their places and send it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a token of protest against his belying of the people’s expectations on Special Category Status (SCS).

In a press release, Mr. Reddy stated that Mr. Modi had left promises made to Andhra Pradesh at the time of bifurcation to the wind.

Instead, he handed over a handful of soil from Parliament and water from Yamuna to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the laying of foundation stone for capital city on October 22.

The collected soil had to be dispatched to Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, 7, Race Course Road, New Delhi-110003, the PCC president said.
