Visalandhra Mahasabha leader Parakala Prabhakar has claimed that the ‘mahasabha' leaders were agitating for ‘Samaikyandhra Pradesh', which was nothing but a ‘sacred war' (pavitra poratam).

Addressing newsmen here on Tuesday, Mr. Prabhakar said that when the pro-Telangana leaders show hundred reasons for dividing the State, the Samaikhyandhra leaders would give thousand causes on the need to keep the State united.

Not only from Andhra region, many leaders from Telangana districts were asking to keep the State united and extending support for United Andhra Pradesh, said Mr. Prabhakar.

Rally

“Our aim is to educate the students, youth and other sections of society on the need to keep Andhra Pradesh united. We will do ‘pavitra poratam' to keep all the Telugu speaking people united, but we will not provoke any youth for the cause,” Mr. Prabhakar said. Visalandhra Mahasabha would organise ‘Rastra Samaikyata Parirakshana Sadassu' at Siddhartha College in the city on February 11.

The meeting would be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a rally would be taken out the same day in the city.

“However, we are not inviting Telangana leaders for the sadassu and only pro-Samaikhyandhra leaders will attend the programme,” said the leaders adding that every person is having a right to express his voice.

Sadassu

The mahasabha was also planning to organise a similar ‘sadassu' at Tirupati and other districts in Telangana region soon, said Nalamothu Chakravarthy.
