Office-bearers of IMA city unit take oath

VIJAYAWADA, ANDHRA PRADESH, 22/10/2017.

The office bearers of the Indian Medical Association, Vijayawada unit, for 2017-18 took the oath here on Sunday. Dr. M.S.C. Bose who was elected the president and former president Dr. S. Kesavarao Babu led the oath-taking ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bose said the city unit had bagged many awards in recognition for its services to the poor and the needy. The IMA unit has been working towards introducing the latest medical procedures and technologies to the doctors so that they provide affordable and better health care for the patients.

He said the association was taking the problems being faced by doctors to the notice of the government.

Medical camps

Dr. Kesavarao said the association had been treating patients suffering from chronic diseases and was giving medicines free of cost. The focus is on extending health care to women and medical camps are being conducted. Elected members B. Hanumaiah, R.K. Ayodhya, Rasik Sanghvi, Y. Keerthi Rao, T. Karthik, Mallika Boyapati and T.V. Ramana Murthy were present.
