Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Brahmani thanked the management for accommodating the facility and remarked that it was the first residential SDC of NTR Trust and is best located amidst several industries.

She further lauded the efforts of Sri City in working towards increasing women employability and bridging the gender gap.

Later, Ms. Brahmani went around the industrial park and visited Rising Star (Foxconn) Industry, in which more than 15,000 women were employed, and interacted with the employees on the shop floor.

The present SDC is the third such centre run by the NTR Trust and will offer free residential courses in warehouse packing and smartphone assembly, and is established as a part of the CSR initiative of Heritage Foods, with Shri Technologies as the technology partner.

Youngsters who have studied up to 8th grade are eligible to apply for these courses. The other two training centres are in Hyderabad and Vinukonda. Founder Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy and others took part.
