Alphonsus Stoelinga, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands has, in an interactive session with the members of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in the city on Thursday night stated that his country was keen on investing in Andhra Pradesh.
Netherlands was looking at the prospects of agriculture and aqua culture sectors in AP. Mr. Stoelinga pointed out the tremendous scope for cooperation between A.P and Netherlands in areas such as water management, upgrading of ports and airports, dredging, agro-processing, telecommunication, energy, oil refining, chemicals and financial services.
CII-Vijayawada former chairman D. Ramakrishna stated that India's economic growth, its large market and vast pool of knowledge workers were of interest to the Netherlands.
On the potential areas of cooperation, he said that AP had strong manufacturing sectors such as cement, paper, food processing and aquaculture, steel, fertilizers, petrochemicals, textiles, automobile and ship building.
The emerging sectors include biotechnology, aerospace, electronic hardware, IT&ITES and aerospace.
India-Netherlands Business Circle president Kiran Madhunapantula, A.P State Economic Development Board CEO J. Krishna Kishore, CII-Vijayawada vice-chairman G. Venkateswara Rao and others participated.
