Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) is making arrangements for MCET-AC 2015 for filling up the MBBS and BDS seats in 27 private medical and dental colleges in Andhra Pradesh under the management quota. The test will be conducted both in AP and Telangana on May 30.

It is going to be first time in the country that management category seats are being filled through an online test. Registrations have to be made before May 24, according to G. Santha Rao, in-charge Vice-Chancellor of NTRUHS and Director of Medical Education of A.P.

Addressing the media here on Saturday, Mr. Rao said the test would be conducted at 29 centres in A.P., Telangana and some other important cities outside those States. Candidates from other States can also take the test and there were no community-based reservations.

The test and counselling for admissions were being supervised by a three-member committee comprising a top official of the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC), Vice-Chancellor of NTRUHS and a government nominee.

Mr. Santha Rao said the test would have 160 objective type questions in the same lines as the Eamcet and there would be no negative marks for wrong answers.

The evaluation would be done by NTRUHS and the process of admissions was supposed to be completed before September 30.

The tuition fee for MBBS is Rs 11 lakh per annum and Rs 4.50 lakh per annum for BDS course. NTRUHS is conducting the test on behalf of A.P Private Medical and Dental Colleges’ Association. MCET-AC Convener Dr. J. Ramesh also spoke.
