Lifetime Achievement Award presented

The Roots Health Foundation conferred Lifetime Achievement Award on urologist Chadalawada Nageswara Rao and gynaecologist Chadalawada Sudha, for their services to the health sector at an impressive function on Sunday.

As a recognition of the great service done by the doctors the foundation to celebrate the Doctor's Day did the honours inviting Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor I.V. Rao and Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu.

The Vice-Chancellor while congratulating the awardees for their dedicated services, called upon the health services community especially doctors to put patients' interests first and provide all possible care in providing them good health.

Others awarded on the occasion included Help Hospital Chief Pulmonologist and critical care specialist Bhanu Prabhakar, Andhra Hospitals chief Anaesthesiologist S. Gopichand, Krishna District Medical and Health Officer Shalini Devi, Ayurvedic physician B. Ramesh Babu and Homoeo physician S. Visweswara Rao.

Foundation Chairman P.V.S. Vijayabhaskar gave an overview of the activities of the foundation with its office in Kanuru. The Vijayawada Central MLA said that it was the duty of the society to recognise the dedicated services rendered by doctors to humankind. “It is the most noble profession in the society,” he opined.

The Roots Health Foundation had been conducting several activities to help the poorer sections in the society get proper medical care and take up some preventive measures to help them stay healthy, said Vijaya Bhaskar.
