Invitation card will not carry CM’s photo

The invitation cards for the foundation stone laying ceremony of the capital city of Amaravati will not have Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s photograph on it.

Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana said that a folder type card was being printed for the event. The card on its rear side will carry the photo of Amaravati capital. A chakra and kalasa from Amaravati depicting the 2,000-year history of the State would also be part of the design, he said.

AMMA donates Rs. 5 lakh

Andhra Motor Merchants’ Association (AMMA) has donated Rs. 5 lakh for construction of the capital. A delegation of AMMA led by its president Yarlagadda Subba Rao handed over a cheque for the amount to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday.
