The Insurance Corporation Employees’ Union, Machilipatnam Division is organising its 49th annual mahasabha at M.B. Vignana Kendram here on September 24 in which employees and representatives from Krishna and Guntur districts will take part.
Speaking to mediapersons here, ICEU secretary S.V. Giridhar said that the meeting would discuss the impact of the policies of the State and Central governments on the insurance sector.
“We are against collecting GST on insurance premium and we have already collected more than 50,000 signatures in both Krishna and Guntur districts against the move,” he added.
