The municipal administration is setting up a help desk at the DMA office to clear doubts among applicants for the posts in ward secretariats.
Director of Municipal Administration Department Vijay Kumar G. Srkr said in a press release that the help desk would start functioning from Tuesday at the DMA office on Inner Ring Road phase 2 from 7 am to 9 pm. The help desk number is 79970-06763.
The State government issued a notification on July 27 for recruitment of ward administrative secretary, ward amenities secretary, ward environment secretary, ward planning and regulation secretary and ward welfare and development secretary, etc.
The total number of provisional vacancies of 10 categories of posts is 33,501. The written examination will be held in the first week of September, results will be announced in the third week of September and appointment orders would be issued in the last week of September.
The ward secretaries would be paid ₹15,000 monthly for two years and after completion of the two-year probation period, they would be given regular pay scales.
