51,177 candidates appear for test in State

As many as 51,177 candidates appeared for District Selection Committee (DSC) exam conducted across the State on Saturday.

While officials claimed that the examination passed off peacefully, a candidate identified as Alok Kumar died at Kurnool after developing convulsions when he came to the centre. Authorities rushed him to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Out of total 57,722 candidates, 51,177 of them appeared for the exam in 2,560 centres in the State while 6545 remained absent, according to officials.
