The Civil Supplies Department on Wednesday said plans have been chalked out in coordination with District Collectors to ensure proper supply of essential commodities to people in the wake of nationwide strike call by the All India Motor Transport Congress from Thursday.
“We are in touch with Collectors. As and when required, we will supply essential commodities, especially vegetables and pulses, using vehicles provided by the APSRTC,” a senior official said. Stocks that have already arrived at Rythu Bazaars across the State will be sufficient for two days.
