‘Capital project for corporates only’

CPI (M) Politburo member B.V. Raghavulu alleged that the AP government was taking up construction of a green-field Capital city to benefit the corporate entities, which would spin fast bucks at the expense of common people. “Development is being concentrated around the proposed capital. By doing so, the government is repeating its mistake that happened in Hyderabad,” he observed. At a seminar on ‘Is Capital city for companies or people’ on Wednesday, he wanted the government to explain the need for conceiving mega projects in thousands of acres of fertile lands.
