‘Libraries in State will be made world-class with all modern amenities’

Dasari Raja Mastaru, senior TDP leader has been sworn in as chairman of AP Grandhalaya Samstha at a ceremony held here on Friday. Mr. Raja, a former teacher, has been involved in training the party cadre till recently.

Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao and Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu along with MLAs were present in oath-taking ceremony.

Mr. Pulla Rao said that the State government has been taking many steps to strengthen the libraries and has even started digital libraries in many state-run libraries. In Guntur, the oldest library, State Regional Library would be renovated and the existing libraries would be given a new look.

Mr. Ananda Babu said that the elevation of Raja Master proves that hard working leaders in the party would be recognised for their services.

Responding to the felicitation, Mr. Raja thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh for bestowing faith in his abilities and promised that he would ensure that all libraries in the State would be made world-class with all modern amenities.
