‘Temperatures to stay around 45°C for the next four days in Andhra Pradesh’

Heatwave likely to come back on May 19

A.P. Weather Forecasting and Early Disaster Warning Research Centre (AWARE) has forecast that the maximum temperatures in several districts of the State will continue to hover around 45 degrees Celsius mark for the next four days.

As per the bulletin of AWARE under the Real Time Governance Society, heatwave in the State will likely come back on May 19 with high maximum temperatures.

West Godavari, East Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts are likely to witness the highest maximum temperatures.

India Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall and thundershowers at isolated places in coastal A.P. until May 18 and dry weather from May 19. In Rayalaseema, dry weather is very likely to prevail from May 17.

On Tuesday, the highest maximum temperature of 45.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nagari of Chittoor district. It is followed by Venkatagiri (44.5) in Nellore, Thallapudi (44.2) in West Godavari and Tuni (44.2) in East Godavari district.
